1. Who we are

Brno Tančí is a community website collecting information about dance events (bachata, kizomba, salsa and more) in Brno. The data controller is the site operator Ing. Zbyněk Pyšný, contact: info@brnotanci.cz.

2. What data we process

We process only your e-mail address, which you enter when logging in.

We do not collect any other personal data (name, phone, address, payment details).

3. Why we process your e-mail

Your e-mail address is used solely to:

• Verify your identity - we send a sign-in link (magic link) that logs you in securely without a password.
• Manage your account - identify your session and the events you have submitted.

4. How long we keep it

We keep your e-mail address for as long as your account exists. If you request deletion, we remove it within 30 days.

5. Who we share data with

We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing. We use the following technical providers (sub-processors), who process data solely on our instructions:

Supabase and Brevo process data within the EU, so there is no transfer outside the EEA. Netlify is based in the USA and relies on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) for transfers outside the EEA. All providers are bound by data processing agreements (DPA).

6. Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to:

• Access - find out what data we process about you.
• Rectification - request correction of inaccurate data.
• Erasure - request deletion of your account and all personal data.
• Portability - obtain your data in a machine-readable format.
• Objection - object to the processing.

Exercise your rights by e-mail at info@brnotanci.cz. We handle requests within 30 days.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority - the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (ÚOOÚ).

7. Security

E-mail addresses are stored in an encrypted database. Sign-in happens exclusively via a one-time link sent to your e-mail - no passwords are stored anywhere. Data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS.

8. Cookies

The site uses only strictly necessary cookies to keep your sign-in session. We do not use analytics or marketing cookies.

9. Changes to this policy

We will inform you of any material changes by e-mail or a notice on the site. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this document.
